Jeffrey James , London 1958 - Jeffrey James is an architect and sculptor.
He studied in London at The Chelsea School of Art and Hornsey School of Art in London and completed his MA in architecture at the Royal College of Art in 1985.
Jeffrey began his architectural career working for Marcel Breuer Associates, New York and Ettore Sottsass's Memphis Design Group, Milan. He went on to create a large body of work that includes architectural, interior, furniture and lighting design projects commissioned by a diverse range of clients that have included Issey Miyake, Vivian Westwood and The Groucho Club, London. Jeffrey's drawings and digital collages have been frequently exhibited at The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Show, London.
His expertise in generative architecture and art has promoted many invitations to serve as a guest juror at the Royal College of Art, The Architectural Association and The Bartlett School of Architecture. Jeffrey also co-ran a BA architectural design unit and tutored for ten years at Greenwich University, London where he developed various generative methods of form making for his students.
